The San Diego Film Critics Society held their awards luncheon this past Wednesday at the Blind Lady Ale House on Adams Avenue.  The awards were to honor three of San Diego’s own – Destin Cretton, Lee Ann Kim and Dan Bennett – for their advancement of film here in America’s Finest City.

Destin Cretton is the writer/director of Short Term 12 and I Am Not a Hipster.

Lee Ann Kim is the executive director of Pacific Arts Movement, which presents the San Diego Asian Film Festival.

Dan Bennett is a former North County Times film critic and co-founder of the San Diego Film Critics Society. He’s also the founder of the San Diego Children’s Film Festival.

For more on the festivities, our own Scott Marks wrapped up the days events over at the San Diego Reader.
